if you've bought this between 2012 and present day, you're doing good with the longevity/sillage. The opening can be quite a load to handle, but when it dies down (1 hour) it is sublime. Don't get me wrong. It's smells money but too smoky, medicinal, and strong. My boyfriend got this for his birthday from one of his friends and it smells like licorice to me at first then it dries down to a cinnamon type of incense. What a legacy! Even though its smokey the texture of interlude reminds me of honey everytime i wear it. He was probably a good 6 or 7 desks away. Interlude Woman and Interlude Man are said to evoke an air of disorder while maintaining a sense of balance and tranquility through the inventive use of incense and myrrh. What a gorgeous bottle.. Some others in this genre that come to mind are Carlisle, Pure Malt, and Vert d'Encens. This is what I imagine Death smells like. It also holds heat in around your neck, especially if it's made from an insulating material like wool. If you like complex fragrences this is a must own. Interlude is thicker. Church goers bring different kind of flowers as their offerings and in combination with the incense during the mass, the whole church is exploded with heavenly scent. I wore it last night. The performance is second to none and scent itself is a work of art. This one lives up to its name. One spray on a piece of paper fills the room for at least the next day, and is noticeable for days. On first application I'm picking up a slight bergamont and a overwhelming pungent smell of oregana. The other is serving mensaf and the air smells burning wood (oud in the background?) This is a RUGGED MAN'S scent, all the way. the higher temperature was 39°c and this beast was not cloying thank god this doesn’t choked me and people around me. Blind buy is not suggested but I did and I love it. So rich balsamic and powerful. Beautiful, strong, full of life, and ever so gorgeous. It was a good choice. But if you were cutting the most beautifully scented wood. It reminds me a bit of F*cking Fabolous from Tom Ford. I definitely don't like this, it's too loud, the smells are chaotic, unconnected... You get this heady incense plus something overly sweet and I can't stop thinking I've just put a potpourri of those annoying scents that strive for a quick yet cheap effect such as 212 VIP or spicebomb. I absolutely fell for oregano in the top, its quite unusual, but fits here so well blending with labdanum and turning patchouli more aromatic. The masterpiece from Amouage. I'm currently enjoying my summer fragrances right now but I really miss Interlude Man. Its a nice cologne, I wouldnt consider this a beasty cologne. People do not like oud arabian type of fragrances might like this one. But if you really focus the leather and oud compliment each other superbly! which makes you a king or a prince. You get the picture. Before I even sprayed it, it smelled like a real pine forest. One of the strongest scents in the world. What can I say about the blue beast? Besides the fact that Interlude Man is by far the longest lasting and projecting fragrance in my entire collection, I am in awe with this product. This is the best fragrance for anyone that just wants to be smelled by everyone and doesn’t care about the scent. Whoa. Incense, amber and resins. Best for the colder months, late fall or winter. Not the cheap synthetic amber, though it may be, but high class ambergris. Once Amouage Interlude Man EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a strong projection, dark, incense, spicy, oregano, balsamic, opoponax, amber, leather, and woody fragrance with green accords. Wow just WOW! This is an absolute monster performer and never leaves you bored. They smell like lemon or flower scent dish soap poured all over you. Oidh fragrances are very skin sensitive. I'm not a huge fan. I have a thing for incense notes in perfumes and this one did not disappoint me.
